36 Weeks

36 weeks and feeling... well, rough. My back hurts pretty terribly these days, I wake up multiple times a night for one of two reasons: bathroom or b/c my pregnancy related carpal tunnel syndrome has made me lose feeling in my hands which is very uncomfortable, and the swelling in my feet/ankles has come on in full force (7 weeks later than when I was prego with Landon though :)) I find comfort in my gaucho pants and flip flops, which of course I can't wear everyday to work but whatever. It's definitely harder this time around with having to take care of a 22 month old while enduring these month 9 symptoms, but you do what you've got to do. And besides- the wonderful, amazing, miraculous symptoms of month 9 pregnancy override the negative ones. This little man has always been a mover and a shaker, but boy is he making his presence known these days. Punching and kicking and rolling... actually making me jump every now and then. He hiccups a whole lot too... much more than Landon did. There is nothing more incredible than these feelings, and I will greatly miss them.

Landon amazes me with something new everyday. He is a very bright boy and so eager to learn more and more and more. His vocabulary is way too big for me to count, he's stringing 3 and 4 word sentences/phrases together, sings songs, the list goes on. He's also been testing the waters lately and therefore enduring consequences for bad choices. For a while now he's been biting his friends at the sitter's house which absolutely breaks my heart. We've been trying so hard to break him of this and I think we're getting somewhere because it's happening less frequently. We talk with him daily about being a good boy and when that doesn't happen he has to sit in time out when we get home and he doesn't get to play with his two favorite toys- his golf and t-ball sets. People try to comfort me by saying this is just a normal phase that kids go through. I don't know if that's true or not, but either way I'll be VERY glad when we are past this.

Here's a video of Landon counting to 13. He's been doing this for well over a month, maybe two, but it's been hard for me to catch it on camera!
