So it's been a month since our family vaca but here are a few snapshots from the relaxing time we spent with our good friends. Paul and I have been joining our friends Mark and Marlo in Islamorada (a Florida Key) for the 4th of July holiday each year for the past 10 years (with the exception of the two years I had the boys). The usual trip is spent deep sea fishing and going out on the town :). This year with our two boys and their 3 year old daughter things were a bit different but incredibly fun nonetheless.
This picture sums it up... totally relaxing. :)
Our time was spent swimming in the pool~
Going boating~
This is the first fish Landon caught! It's a snapper :)
We went to a place called Robbie's and fed the tarpon. They were huge!
The kids had fun playing at the beach.
More boating and sandbar fun! Connor and Paul sat the sandbar out...
Landon is REALLY afraid of fireworks- so PJ brought these DeWalt earphones to soften the noise. Landon and Martha were having fun with them the night before the show. :)
We spent the night of the 4th out on the marina at the condo we stayed at and enjoyed the Founder's Park firework show.
The boys and their friend Martha
Before going on this trip I was a little worried about bringing our two young boys away from home for almost a week, but by the end of the trip I was sad to go. I look forward to all of our future family vacations!
