Good Times and Bad

I just love this stage in Landon's life. He is so curious and very easily entertained. The past month has been interesting, challenging, and quite tiring though. During these winter months Landon has fought a few colds, but a couple weeks ago his battle was with the flu. Yup- my little munchkin somehow caught the flu, even though I had him vaccinated 3 weeks prior. I had to stay home from work for 3 days, PJ 1, and it took a good 10 days for it to fully get out of his system. I felt so horrible the whole time. The four days he had a fever he didn't even look like himself... it was a truly depressing week. I hope we don't have to experience that again for a long time.
On a more positive note, he has been having fun growing and exploring new things. For a while now he has been saying "Dada" and "Yaya". Yaya is his sitter, Iara. We are working on "Mama," but I think it might take a while. He's been teething for... I don't know... about 4 months and there are still no teeth!!! I don't get that one. When he's on his changing table he likes to play with the light switches and turns the light and fan on and off. If he can't reach with his hands, he kicks it with his feet. He loves sitting up and playing, but will occasionally flip to his belly and scoot around. He's not crawling, he actually pushes himself in circles and backwards. It's pretty funny. Landon loves to eat- he'll eat anything we serve him. Now he eats sweet potatoes, squash, avocado, peas, carrots, banana, and peaches. He still loves bath time and will scoot around on his bottom to get to his toys. Landon loves to stand, too (assisted of course.) Him and Kingston are buds; Kingston sits next to us and Landon pets him. We still have story time and singing time... overall it's been really fun.
These pictures were taking after bath time the other night.
Here we are enjoying a BEAUTIFUL afternoon in the backyard on the day he turned 7 months (Jan. 30th.) We read books, played with toys, and pulled the grass.
We like to go out to eat as a family once a weekend, and here is Landon sitting in a big boy highchair! Such a good boy :) This weekend we are getting together with some friends so the babies can hang. Their daughter Shayla is 2 weeks older than Landon. Then on Monday I have the day off and we'll get together with two more of his girlfriends- Addie and Sydnee. Should be another good time!!!
