Last week we took Landon to The Magic Kingdom for his first ever Disney experience. We had so much fun and accomplished a lot! I can't remember the last time I went on some of the rides we did... boy how things change when your with little kiddies! No Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, or Space Mountain for us- oh no. It was It's a Small World, Winnie the Pooh, the carousel, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Jungle Cruise, stuff like that. Landon just loved all of the fun characters and colors, although he did get a little uneasy on the Pirates ride when it did the little drop in the dark and we got splashed. But other than that it was all fun!
He rode his very own horse on the carousel like a big boy and got upset when the ride came to an end. He did the sign for "More!" and let out a whine is disapproval.
The three of us somehow fit in a Dumbo together. I was curious to see what Landon would think about going up high in the air. He loved it! He even helped control the Dumbo by moving the joystick up and down. :)
Below Landon is saying "Ooooo!" while looking at skeletons play chess as we waited in line for Pirates of the Caribbean.
It was truly a treat to spend my birthday at a special place with such special people. Just a few days later we celebrated Landon's second Halloween. Our beautiful little Pirate went Trick or Treating for the first time. We took him in the wagon, and at the foot of each driveway we would take him out and one of us would walk him to the door. He would knock, Paul or I would say "Trick or Treat," he would take candy (I'd help him put it in his bag), and then he would say "Bye!" He was a natural! And everyone loved his costume! My mom sure did do an amazing job making it, didn't she?
