Easter Sunday

Landon's first Easter was a very special one. We traveled down to Coral Springs to be with family and he got to meet his Great Grandma for the first time! It was SOOOO wonderful. He also had his first Easter egg hunt, he got treats from the Easter Bunny, he met baby Reese, he ate new foods, and got to go swimming in a pool! Quite an eventful weekend.
He loved the Easter Bunny! Constantly on the move, it's more challenging these days to get pictures. Candid ones are more fun anyway.
Chillin' with Daddy after a big meal. Great Grandma Phelan! We finally meet! Nono! Always encouraging Landon to try new things to eat. :) Uncle Ryan! Landon also experienced his first time swimming in a pool! I know, that's crazy considering we live in Florida. But it's true! He was a bit unsure at first... Not really diggin' it... And then- maybe this isn't so bad....
I can splash, just like when I'm in the bath...
Hey! This is FUN!!! Hope you enjoyed your Easter weekend as much as we did. :)

9 1/2 Months

Landon is a very busy body these days- constantly on the move. He has been "getting around" for over a month now but he didn't start the standard crawl until about 2 weeks ago. He also pulls up on things and is experimenting with taking steps (assisted, of course :)).

He now has 4 teeth- 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. There are 4 more on their way, and therefore Landon remains a profuse drooler. And everything still goes in the mouth to get rubbed on the gums. The teething isn't waking him up at night anymore (knock on wood), which means we're back to 10 solid hours. It's joyous :)

We are introducing new foods every few days to Landon. He LOVES to eat. I've been adding protien and dairy products to his diet. He enjoys chicken mixed with brown rice and pears or chicken and squash and he absolutely LOVES apples and cinnamon. He actually licks his lips while I'm feeding it to him. Next on the menu will be beef, beans, and cheese. I've also been playing around with different textures and leaving some lumps in his purees as we go through this transitional stage. Landon definately doesn't seem to mind the changes.

Some of Landon's favorite things to do these days:

go for walks

go on swings

play outside on a blanket

ride in the cart at the grocery store

flirt with strangers

splashing at bathtime

pet Kingston

clap his hands together

crawl, crawl, crawl!

hear his own voice (I swear sometimes that he's singing)

make monkey noises

chew on his socks

listen to stories

He is an icredibly happy baby and always seems to be having fun. It's very hard to believe his first birthday will be here in just a few months!
